I’m a Latvian illustrator born in Jelgava on December 22, 1997.

My fascination with illustration began in childhood through cartoons like Adventure Time, The Powerpuff Girls, Studio Ghibli films, and W.I.T.C.H. comics. Although I first studied painting at Janis Rozentāls Art School and tried to be a serious painter, my works were often described as too “childish,” which eventually helped me realize that illustration was my true artistic language - a place where being naive, silly, and whimsical became a strength rather than a flaw.

I later studied graphic art at the Art Academy of Latvia, where I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees, and my bachelor’s project, the comic “Meldra and the Bad Mr. Sunny,” eventually became my first published comic book, “Meldra and the Icky Neighbours”.

If childish and silly is what you're looking for, you have found the right place!
